Etikk

“Etikk” is the Norwegian term for “ethics,” which refers to the branch of philosophy that involves the systematic study of right and wrong, moral principles, and values that guide human behavior. Ethics explores questions about how individuals should act, the nature of good and evil, and the foundations of moral judgments. It is concerned with concepts such as justice, virtue, and moral responsibility, and it seeks to establish frameworks for evaluating actions, intentions, and the implications of human conduct. Ethics can be divided into various subfields, including normative ethics, which examines standards for right conduct; applied ethics, which deals with specific moral issues in various contexts; and meta-ethics, which investigates the nature of ethical statements and properties. In everyday life, ethics informs personal decision-making, professional conduct, and societal norms, shaping the moral landscape in which individuals and communities operate.
