Flyktninger

“Flyktninger” is the Norwegian word for “refugees.” Refugees are individuals who have been forcibly displaced from their home country due to persecution, war, violence, or human rights violations. They often seek safety and protection in another country and are typically unable or unwilling to return to their home country due to a well-founded fear of being harmed. The term encompasses those who have crossed international borders in search of asylum, and it is often used in the context of international law and humanitarian assistance. Refugees may face various challenges, including legal and social barriers, and often require support from host countries and organizations to rebuild their lives in safety.
