Economics

Economics is the social science that studies how individuals, businesses, and governments make choices regarding the allocation of scarce resources. It examines the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services and how these processes affect the economy as a whole. The field is divided into two main branches: microeconomics, which focuses on the behavior of individual agents such as consumers and firms, and macroeconomics, which looks at the economy as a whole, analyzing aggregate indicators like GDP, inflation, and unemployment rates. Economics seeks to understand the incentives and trade-offs that influence decision-making and the factors that determine wealth, prosperity, and economic well-being.
