Økonomi, or “economy” in English, refers to the system of production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services within a society or geographic area. Økonomi can also refer to the discipline that investigates these phenomena, exploring topics like microeconomics (the behavior of individuals and firms) and macroeconomics (the economy as a whole).
