Arbeidsledighet

“Arbeidsledighet” is the Norwegian term for “unemployment.” It refers to the condition in which individuals who are capable and willing to work are unable to find suitable employment. Unemployment can arise from various factors, including economic downturns, structural changes in the economy, seasonal fluctuations, or skill mismatches between workers and job openings. It is often measured by the unemployment rate, which is the percentage of the labor force that is unemployed but actively seeking employment. High levels of unemployment can signify economic distress and can have significant social and economic consequences, affecting individuals, communities, and the overall economy.
